Losing Inches Only I Guess?
Hi Everyone, I'm still a member of the slow losers club. I'm also still holding between 276-278lbs at 7 months post-op and only down about 65lbs since 3/27/03. I guess I'm still losing inches because today I was able to fit in a solid size 22 dress. I ask myself, How is this possible but I guess this is great coming from a 30/32. I'll take it - LOL. Hi Marilyn, I too am part of the slow losers club. My surgery was May 2003, and to date I have only lost 60 pounds. 53 of that was in the first few months, the last 7 have been in the last week since I started Atkins. I figured maybe I'd give myself a little boost to start losing again. If your clothes are getting bigger, that's a great indicator !! Your probably like me , tho, still nice to see those numbers go down on that scale. Has your doc considered scoping you to see if your stoma has opened back up ? I go to my doc tomorrow to see if he wants to do that with me. If it has , he says I'd have to have a revision, but I just don't wanna do the surgery again I don't think. I'll keep praying for us both. I've heard several people say (my doc included) that sometimes people plateau for 6 months or so and then start losing again for no apparent reason.
