I was sitting here today reflecting on the last 17 months of my life and I'm so thankful for this wonderful surgery. I can't ever imagine myself back where I used to be with my weight, my highest was 389 and now I'm down 200 lbs= and wearing 16's and some 14's, couldn't ever imagine seeing me at my high school size again. We all have so much to be thankful for, our approvals and safe and successful surgeries, good health and the promise of several years of being able to go anywhere, climb stairs, walk or jog, eat almost anything within reason, just smaller portions and loving ourselves for the first time probably in years. I pray each and everyone has quick approval and speedy procedures and an easier recovery. I hope this doesn't sound like bragging because it is not that but just hoping everyone has the same success. Take care and God Bless. Susy

Susie, isn't it great!!!!!! I can totally relate to you. my life has changed so much for the better. You know I have been having major stomach problems and after one trip last week to the er and having to be scoped Thursday, I am still grateful. Dr. Steiner finally found what he called "a big old nasty ulcer" and put me on meds for it. But the funny thing was that there were people on each side of my little curtain while I waited that were haveing their pre-op scopes and were so excited and they found out I was post-op and were asking me all about it thru the curtains. One of them said, but honey, you are sick and i told her that even on my sick days i am so thankful for this surgery and that is truly the way I feel. Went to Walmart yesterday and bought a pair of Lee Rider jeans in a twelve petite. My loss has slowed down but man, am I excited to be able to wear jeans with no elastic in a size 12.

Delores, I was the way when I started going from size to size I was so surprised even though I was told and knew this was supposed to happen, I was shocked to say the least.I lost in my top first, then my butt and then all over but I loved that feeling. I've gone down from5x in tops to ex-large and from 30/32 in pants to 14/16's and even down from 10 in shoes to 8, also my ring size is down from a 9 to to 7 and I feel like I can almost walk on air. I just wish that everyone trying to get approvals would get them and see thier lives totally changed like ours. The health benefits are amazing and we look younger and feel so much younger, unbelievable. Take care and God Bless. Susy

Susy, It is strange how some one you don't even know can be such an inspiration, but you are to me. I am scheduled for surgery on December 15 and can't wait. I had to schedule around my work schedule (teacher) or I would have been able to have it sooner. I don't post very often but I read all of the time and I admire you and your strength that you have through God. From day one I placed this whole procedure in His hands and He has been with me every step as I know he will continue to be. I am so happy for you and so proud of your success. I look forward to feeling the feelings that you are. Every time I read one of your posts it is such an uplifting thought for me. I want you to know that I appreciate you for being the sunshine that you are not only to me , but I am sure to many. God Bless you and remember me in your prayers as I will you. Thank God for you. Sharan
