I just have to share this news with everyone. I started on my high protein diet after my visit to the surgeon on the 30th. Well I guess it is paying off because then I was 309 and today I am 304. That is 5lbs in 10 days. WoooooHooooo My goal was to lose down to 299 before surgery which is not until the 29th of this month and at this rate it looks like I am gonna make it. Von

Congratulations! I bet you feel more optomistic that you have in a long time. I know I do. Those 5 pounds represent a lot more than just 80 ounces. The represent your committment to a whole new way of life. And yes, you are going to make it. Have faith. Sandi

Great job! Soon you'll have the problem I had - when thinking about how much you've lost, do you include the "pre-surgery" weight loss? I have decided to because they were actually the hardest to lose. What a problem to have. Great things ahead for you!

Congratulations Von! Those Pre-surgery pounds will disappear pretty quickly when you do the magnesium citrate. I swear it made me lost at least 5 of the lbs I lost beforehand. That last day, the one where we have to do only clear liquids, was a toughie. BTW, I weighed in at 299 on the day of surgery! I was 309 at the doctors office 6 days before.
