First time posting

Hi, My name is Sharan and I have been reading the posts for the last 2 months, so I feel as if I know a lot of those who post. This is my first time and I had to because I am so excited because I received insurance approval and my surgery date today. I am a teacher and I had to arrange my surgery so that I wouldn't have to miss too much work hopefully. It is schedule for December 15, the week before my Christmas break begins. I would like to ask for your prayers as I have read many of your prayer requests here. I am SO excited, and from the beginning I have turned the entire process over to God. I will continue to trust in Him.

Sharan, Congratulations!!! I'm still waiting for my pre-op tests, so I'm still pretty far away. They say maybe December or January. I can't wait either!! Christmas break I think may be a good time for surgery and recovery. If you're like me, my family is around to help out and everything at that time. Keep trusting in God, He'll get you through!! Sharan, Congratulations on your approval and date, your time will come so fast and before you know you will be on the losing side. The road to a successful journey is sometimes bumpy but oh so worth the trip. Keep us posted and feel free to ask any questions you need answered, I'm sure someone on here has the answer. Hi Sharan, Congratulations on getting approval that is so wonderful. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. And if you don't have a support group I'm having one on November 14th in London at the Laurel County Public Library. I'm not too far from ya. hi, Welcome to the board. Congrats on receiving your surgery date. The wait will be nerve-racking but well worth the wait!!!!! Again, congrats.

Hooray for you! For me, the waiting was absolutely the hardest part. After surgery it has all been good! You go from wondering how you'll feel to knowing and figuring out how to use your new tool. It's a total, wonderful change you will love.
