WHAT IS A SPIROMETER

I THOUGHT I HAD RESEARCHED PRETTY WELL BUT I CAME UPON THIS IN SOMEONES PROFILE...CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS IT AND HOW ITS USED??

Hi, I can't explain this very well but it is a small gadget they give you in the hospital and you use it to make sure you don't get pneunomia, you breathe into it and make the little lever stay between the arrows, usually between 1500 and 2500, it isn't hard to do. My doctor gives them to patients on the days you have your pre-admission testing so can get used to breathing into it, makes it a lot easier after your surgery.
