Informational Meeting
I went for the informational meeting at St. Joes last night..... It was great...... Everyone was wonderful and even tho I had researched WLS for several months I feel so much more informed actually talking to and seeing the people that have had the surgery... Made things seem so much more real... Thanks Delores for recommending St. Joes and the Staff for the weight loss surgery.. and again thanks for the directons. Would have been lost for sure with out them.. LOL... I was tired from the drive and the lengthy meeting last night , but woke up early and eagerly this morning ready to fill out my packet and I had it mailed in before 9:30 am .. I am more determined now than ever to get this surgery and have a new lease on life..... Thanks Again for everyone's help.. Cant wait to get a date for my pre-op exam's... I just hope things continue to fall into place for me.. Kinda dread dealing with the ins.. So afraid of a denial.... Debbie
Glad you didn't get lost last night. It probably won't be long before you get a letter from Donna or Melissa setting up your appointments for the pre-op stuff. And the psych that you will go to, Dr Stegar, is a honey. Nothing to fear there. I am so glad you liked everyone. I knew you would. Keep us updated and Good luck. I have heard that cha is pretty easy to get approval from.
I had CHA, Debbie and they were fantastic! Have you called them to see if the doctors at St. Joe are covered? When I had my surgery they were only approving a certain 7 doctors at the time. That may have changed by now though. Once I got the list of doctors I started calling and researching each one and ended with Dr. Mark Pack in Ashland KY. I was given my list of required tests and got busy on them. Once they were all done, I had my approval within 24 hours of submission and surgery 2 weeks later. I wish you all the luck in the world!! Best wishes. Ruthie K
