I'm approved! See doctor next week!
I'm approved. Happy Day!!!!
I got the call today from the Doc's office to schedule me some appointments, have my pre op educational class and meet with an internist. I'm so excited.
I have been told that surgery occurs usually one to two weeks after seeing the doctor, so, since I'm seeing him the 16th, I could be having surgery the following week!
Wow wow wow.
I'm excited and nervous and hopeful. Mostly, I want to make it through alive and then just devote myself to finding skinny me again. It's been soooooo logn since I was skinny. I cannot even imagine what it will feel like again. I mean, if I could get down to 180 lbs (roughly half of what I am now)...I'd be THRILLED. To me, that'll be skinny!
It's a little exciting to think that my body is going to change so much. Plastic surgery seems so wild but I'm sure it's in my future.... I hope that the LAP RNY brings me success, a loss of the major pain of my every day life (arthritus and other such pains) and that I can stop using that !@@#$%#@!@ CPAP machine. LOL
It leaves red sore marks on the bridge of my nose. I've been putting band aids over my nose at night, but I'm sure they'll start irritating my skin eventually too. LOL
I'm starting to wonder what all is inside this big belly of mine. LOL And hoping that wls for me, is a success story.

Kat, Congrat's on your approval. These next few days will go so quickly and before long you will be getting ready for your big day. The waiting is the hardest part but the best is yet to come. I wish you the very best and hope to see you skinnier very soon. Take care and God Bless. Susy

CONGRATS and best of luck to you. On your upcomming WLS. I rember how excited i was when i got a date for mine .An just wait till the pounds star melting off you and you get in smaller and smaller size clothes. I had mine on 4-16-03 and have lost 75plus pds. I went from over a size 20 dont know how much over cause after the 20 jeans got to tight i would not buy no bigger ones i wore jogging pants. Now i wear a size 16 jeans and they are gettin baggy on me . When i started i weighted 260 on ay of WLS. Thelast time i got weighted was 2wks go mon and i had lost 75pds then. i need to get weighted again i just go once ever 2 wks. I do not even own a scales so i will not get on it ever day so if i do not lose any in a day i will not get upset.Take Care and God bless you
Congrats on your approval!!!!!!!!. It won't be long until you are among the ranks of "the losers". It is such an exciting time as you see the pounds begin to melt off. Every day is a new adventure. You will be so much healthier and although we all know that is the main reason most of us have this surgery, we are also excited as we begin to look better. Remember, there will be a few rough days but all in all, you will be so glad you are on this journey. Keep us informed as to your surgery date. God Bless, Delores
CONGRADS! Kat, I just had mine done on August 29th and i'm 12 days post-op went to the doctors and i have already lost 20lbs, and 4inches in my stomach. was well worth it! I got my self crying today was so overwellemed with how well i'm doing and i'm starting to see it my self. not just everyone around me. Its amazing i can't wait to wake up in the mornings to start a new day. my prayers are with you. Keeping a possitive attiude helps get ya through and having family there for you does wonders. So Good Luck let me know how you are doing
