New In the Area

I had a gastric bypass 3 years ago in S. Florida I am new to the area and am looking for a new weight loss support group that will accept new members that did not have surgery in the area. I am in real need of help. I had the surgery in 2000, I had lost over 300 pounds. I have developed some very bad eating habits since moving to Kentucky and have gained almost 70 pounds. Donna, I know in Georgetown there are several people who had surgery under different doctors. Just recently a lady with a similar story joined and brought with her some very good information for us since she had been several years post op. Our next support group meeting is at Georgetown Community Hospital September 13 at 10am. We are also having a clothing exchange if you are interested. The hospital is about a 15 minute drive straight up Georgetown Road from Lexington, or take the I75 interstate North, turn off at Ironworks pike exit, turn left, opposite from the Horse Park, at the end of the road turn right and go about 5 minutes, it will be on the right. It takes me no more than 20 minutes to reach from my house near Liberty Road.
