(Oops! I entered when I should have tabbed...or something.) Anyway - I've been approved by my Primary Insurance. The preliminary approval date for surgery is October 20th, but they said that was just a date they used to get the approval letter sent. Someone will be calling me shortly to set the actual date. I can't wait. And I don't know what to do next. I was feeling so down today. I had gained a few pounds and am struggling to loose them. So far I've lost 3, but I just feel so uncomfortable. This was the best news I could get. I don't have the letter, yet, but SHPPS/Health International called me to let me know. How nice of them!!!!! I can't wait to join everyone on the other side. And pray that everyone else soon has good news, too. God bless. Sandi

Congratulations! This time is so exciting because you have to get things ready for your surgery, packing, finding things to drink post-op for protein, etc. The time will fly.

Hi Sandie; I know what you mean by finally getting approval and not knowing what to do now. I am scheduled for the 15th of Oct and when I got my date I wanted to pack and sit in the van till time to go.hahaha I am actually using this time to get things around the house done so I won't feel like I need to do so much when I get home and then I have been researching RNY and of course talking in the groups for WLS. I have a really great group I am in now and if you are interested please e-mail me privately and I will be happy to send you there. Where will your surgery be If you need someone to talk to I am always willing to talk about this surgry, it calms me down. Sincerely Barb

Thank you all for your support and kind words. Somehow you all make it seem more real. I am sitting here with a great big smile on my face! Dr. Shina's office called today to fix the date. My REAL date is October 17th, 3 whole days earlier. Barb, we'll be in seperate hospitals togeather! I'll be at Suburban Hospital in Louisville. I'm going to take all your suggestions. I also plan to start a walking program. Maybe even get a swimming pool membership. My mother had knee replacement surgury last year and the Doctor was so happy with her speedy recovery. (She's 78.) He attributed it to the water arobics she does. Thanks again, Sandi
