Post op question

I was wondering how much you are able to do a week out of surgery? ( Lap Rny) Im a college student and may have to return to class 4-5 days post op for a class that is from 4:30 to 8:45 pm and I don't know if that will be possible. All the post ops, what do you think? Will I be pushing it. all I would be doing is sitting in class and I thought it would be fine but I certainly don't want to miss these classes and I know that I may need to schedule my surgery after fall semester. Hi Rebecca.....post-op discomfort is really different on each individual.....Some return after a week and then there are people like myself that took 4 weeks.....I wish you the best.....Marilyn in Lexington, KY.

I think you will be fine, just take it slow and don't over do it. The best thing to do is talk with Dr. Weiss and see if he will let you go back that soon. He told me that I could be off work 2 weeks. If you have to wait until the holidays, then you will have more time to pamper yourself. I bet he would say ok, but I would check with him before scheduling your surgery. Teresa Gash

Thanks for the advice. I'm a bundle of nerves about the whole thing. I will talk with the Dr. about it and see what he thinks. I know it will all work out. Keep me in your prayers please. Rebecca
