From Fort Campbell and feeling alone....

I am really nervous about everything!! We are stationed at Fort Campbell and my husband is currently stationed at Camp Eagle, South Korea. Luckily, my mom lives with me but I really wish that I had my husband here. My oldest son, who is 11, has really been supportive, but he is kinda worried that he will be losing the "old" mom. I explained to him that he would be losing me, just not the way he thinks. His mom is gonna become a loser! He thought that was cool. Anyway, I am kinda feeling alone because I lost my biggest supporter in May. My baby sister, who by the way had the RNY done and went from 294 to 120 in one year, was murdered by her husband. So, now I guess I am just looking for others in the Fort Campbell/Clarksville area that are going thru or have gone thru this surgery. Anyone out there??

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I can't imagine what you all must of went through, what a horrible thing to happen to someone. My name is Sandy and I live in Cadiz KY which is only twenty mins. from Hopkinsville which is right by Fort Campbell. I can get to Fort Campbell in about an hour. I hope we can connect and support each other. I recently had the surgery on May the 6th. I have lost almost 60 pounds and finally am feeling better. I am still low of energy and want to do more. my husband ( Tim ) and I hae been in Ky for almost three years. I still have not met a real good friend. I know people but no one I can really call my best friend. So, If I can help you in any way or just be there I will be more than glad. I don't have a support group to go to as of yet.
