Local support groups

Hi everyone, I'm waiting on insurance approval for RNY. But in the mean time, I would love to find a support group close to me here in Eastern Ky. Any suggestions? Thanks so much-

Hi, There is a real nice support group in Ashland on the 3rd Thursday of each month on Beech Street and my surgeon hs his support group the first Monday at 6 p.m. at Cabell Huntington Hospital. You will find them both very informational and will meet post-ops and pre-ops and hear all about this surgery and the success stories. Hope to see you there soon. The Huntington group isn't having their meeting in July because of the holiday but August is on schedule. Take care. Susy

Thanks Edna, I'd love to come and I feel like I really need to visit. My aunt who lives in Indiana is 2 years post op has told me several times that I really need to join a support group because I'd get so much encouragement and info by going. I only wish I was closer to Ashland My hubby says that we're probably 6 hours away from there. Do you know of any groups that are possibly closer to London Ky?
