Hi Everyone. I'm open to any and all suggestions. I'm 3 months post-op and have only lost 31.5lbs. I've joined "Shapes" health club for women, I drink plenty of water and take my vitamins daily. I'm trying to do all of the right things but the scale is not moving. Well I'm open to all suggestions regarding protein drinks. Please share with me if you have any great and tasty tips.

Hello, my name is Teresa and I am currently a pre-op. I am still learning about all this, but I have been doing some research. First ,I read your web page and you are an outstanding young lady. I want to recommend for you to check out www.wworw.com, this Christian lady has a great testimony and has lost 200lbs. Her web-site is awesome and I have been greatly blessed by reading her journey. Second, the other day I was reading another web-site and the lady had alot of platue's (spelling ?). She had once been on the adkins diet and had used something called L-Carnitine Liquid-vitamins. She started using this when she got stuck and it seem to help her get through her platue's, that might be something you can look into and make sure to check with your doctor. Third, another lady's web-site that I have read, she stated that she drank 100 oz. of water per day. She would set four different times per day and would drink 25 oz. each. Example, you could drink 25 oz. at 10:00 a.m, another at 2:00 p.m., etc. My surgery will be in July, so I might need your help later. The only recommendation for a tasty tip is my new Snow Cone Machine (Rival), I got it at Walmart for under $20.00. I ordered some sugar free syprups from the vitalady and I'm not kidding you, they are heavenly. Good luck and I hope that maybe something I said will help you start loosing again. Teresa

Marilyn, Read a bit of your profile, and you may have only lost 31.5 since the surgery, but don't forget those lbs that you lost before surgery. I truly don't know what to tell you about making it come off faster for you. My DR doesn't recommend protein shakes, so I can't offer advise about that. Just make sure that you are eating as much protein that you can, the body needs to work, and it needs food to do that. Sounds as though you are doing the right things, water, exercise, vitamins, protein, it will come off. Remember each body is different. Hit a plateau at one point myself, and didn't lose a thing for six weeks, knew I wasn't eating anymore than I had been. Went nuts for a while, so I can understand what you are going thur. The body is a marvelous thing, if it thinks food has been cut off, it will work to hold each and every ounce of fat, because it is preparing for long term stavation. This is what always ruined those diets. But you will not start eating too much again, and it will begin to fall off. You may be the slowest loser, but keep in mind that you are a LOSER, and that is a good thing. Judy RYN 10/17/02 down 116 lbs

Already chatted away. But then it dawned on me. Take your measurements, you might be changing without losing the lbs. Judy
