preliminary stages!!!

I have had my first appointment with the surgeon, Dr. Dwayne Smith at Advanced Bariatric in Edgewood, KY. He is great. I went to see my family doctor. He told me he would write a letter saying it was OK to have the surgery, however he would not recommend the surgery. He told me he was worried about liability issues if he recommended it. I have two other doctors *****commend it, my GYN and my allergist. Has anyone else ever had this issue come up? Do you think the insurance will deny it if he does not recommend it? Thank you all for your help.

Thank you. I was starting to get a worried. I guess frustrated is more appropriate. I had spoken with him about weight loss each and every visit. I even mentioned the surgery to him on several occasions. I was surprised he would not recommend it. Thanks again!!
