ALMOST THERE...
Boy, it has poured the rain all day here in southeastern Kentucky. I've been wondering what to have for my last BIG meal Tuesday. I think I will have a big steak. I am down to 5 days and a wake up. Surgery is this Friday. I never thought the day would ever come. Got my lemon/lime Mag. Cit. in the fridge chilling. Went yesterday to get lemon and orange jello, chicken broth and popsicles. I will be starving, but I'll make it. I have literally had to take a break from this site for a few days and in doing so time has flew by. This is the second time I have had to do that. I keep telling myself this time next weekend that the surgery will be all over. I keep worring that I will get a cold or something will come up. I gave my mom instructions on how to post my update on the main message board. Trying to tell her how to make a post on this board and the main would be more than she could handle. My dad was going to stay in Louisville with me the whole time while I was down there, but I told him he didn't have to. He's not in good health anyways, he has congestive hear failure and I think it would be too much for him. I made him a CD today for Fathers day tomorrow with his favorite oldies music, like the four seasons, mamas and papas, etc. He will love it. I wish everyone a great Father's day and Good Luck in your WLS journeys.
Tabatha,
Just want to wish you luck with your surgery on Friday. Will be thinking of you on Friday, as it will be a long day, mostly for your family.
Had my surgery on Oct 17, 2002. To date I have lost 115 lbs. (No regrets)
Couldn't help but laugh at your last meal fantasy, but I encourage you to eat all the things you want. I often, when I pass the Golden Corral, say I wish I had eaten there one more time, like that would really make a difference now.
Will be glad to chat in the next few days, as I remember what it was like to count down. [email protected]
