Help finding doctor n N. KY

I live in the Greater Cincinnati Area, and am having the hardest time finding a doctor in my area that accepts the KY Medical Card. The nearest large city is Cincinnati. I don't know what to do. I have tried doctors in Cincinnati and NKY and no one accepts the KY Medical Card. Can anyone give me some advise?

Hi Alana!! I just wondered if you had tried Dr. Dwayne Smith in Edgewood? I heard that he was still trying to build his practice as well so maybe he would take the medical card. Hope this helps. Jamie Lamson

Hello, I am going to the Georgetown Community Hospital and have already gone to one of the seminars. It was announced that they will accept medicare and medicaid. I also know that they are having two seminars in Louisville soon, but could'nt find the paper with the information on it. You can get the phone # off of Delores Sesters reply for the phone number to the Georgetown Community Hospital and call for the dates, Louisville is closer. Jo is the coordinator and she is very nice and she has had RNY surgery, so she can relate to us. The doctor, G. Derke Weiss, will be performing the surgeries Laprascopicly. He does Lap Ban and RNY. He will not be operating in Kentucky until 07-07-2003. Hope this helps. Teresa
