help finding a doctor

hi im having trouble finding a doctor in kentucky that accepts the kentucky state medical card... if anyone knows a good one please let me know im desperate to find one and try to get coverage for it... btw is it hard to get the medical card to cover it? any info would be wonderful thank you michelle

Hello, I'm new to all this, but I am going to Georgetown Community Hospital. Dr. G. Derek Weiss will be my surgeon and he is currently moving from New Orleans to Kentucky. I went to a seminar on April 30, 2003 and the insurance clerk that spoke stated that he will accept medicare and medicaid. He only does Laparoscopic Roux-en-y and Lap Band surgeries. He will be start operating in Georgetown the middle of July 2003. I am currently waiting for insurance approval.
