Hello to all & i have a question?

I am new as you all can probley tell, but i am here to learn all that i can about surgery & the surgeons & even the diets that can be done as another option instead of surgery. So has anyone tried the diets, like the protein diet i believe that is a all meat diet or is this a option for people just doing the dieting. The reason i am asking is, i have a friend that i contacted from the website i seen where she had just had surgery back in oct-2000 & she was saying i could probley loose my weight by just dieting, but then keeping it off would be the problem. So has anyone tried the protein diet without surgery & had luck with it, or even any other diets ? thank you Vera
