family doc needed

 i am looking for a fam doc near Louisville with gastric bypass patient experience, it seems most don't kno much about it, or the somewhat special needs, even 7 yrs post op. ive been having severe left shoulder pain after i eat anything, even a small amount. this has happene din previous years, and my old fam doc x rayed and said my shoulder is fine. i think it has to do woth either my hiatal hernia or ulcers, but what do i kno, im only the patient. anyone lese had this sharp pain in the front part of their left shoulder after eating? it gets unbearable. 

I am sorry that u r havn this prob.  Newbies I have heard get shoulder pain but I never did.  Maybe try a couple other sites and you might get some insight into problem.  Wish u well.

 thank you, i was on this site all those yrs ago post op, was just wondering if anybody else this far out has this problem. so far my only relief is to just not eat, then it doesnt hurt. i remember it hurting post op but it went away. 

I would recommend that you contact a bariatric surgeon. I worry about this could be caused by obstruction or ulcers in a gastric bypass patient, and a thorough evaluation may be needed.

You know, I am ten years out and it has been a rat race all these years trying to stay well.  Every complaint (they have been very real evidenced by many surgeries since WLS) to my family doctor is meet with aa "see your bariatric surgeon, he should take care of this".  Okay, trot off to Bariatric surgeon and he says, "this is something for your family doctor" so what are we supposed to do?   I have almost stopped going to any of them.
