Lap band removal

Hello

I am interested in information from members who have are planning  to or will have band removed.My band was less than 2 years old, the port was removed due to infection. the band is eroded, I am now planning the second attempt to remove the band,  I appreciate your insight.

 Sorry I have not checked in here in several days.  I had my band removed on January 24, 2011 and revised to the RNY and couldn't be happier.  I had my port replaced in 2009 after the NP punctured it and I was always too loose or too tight.  I am thankful for the experience with the band because I am sure that it helped me to eat right now.  

I would have my band removed even earlier if I had not been scared of the RNY.  I'd go for it.
