Gym Memberships

Let's see, I can continue to pay nearly $75 per month on a gym membership or go to another one for $30 per month and much closer to home.   Hmmmm...  Went to Urban Active this morning and am making the big switch tomorrow.  No contract, so it's month to month membership & for me, going to the gym is a big help.
What's been you experience?

I have thought about memberships and everytime, it seems unworkable for me.  Being an early riser it benefits me to have my equipment at home.  Just as likely to workout at home as at a gym.  My equipment consist of elastic bands, red chair, treadmill, stationary bike, gazelle, weights, thigh master and the Zumba DVD's and the Hip Hop Abs DVD's.  I usually start my workout around 5:30 a.m. without leaving the house.  Also Body Electric comes on the television if I want to get started with it.
Since retiring, I'm more selective in spending.  A new gym opened up in town but it's $75 per month that I don't want to spend and DH would rather I workout at home.  He doesn't workout at all. LOL

On the days that I can't get to the gym, there's nothin' like movin' at home.  I like Body Electric too and use that as a great warm-up.  The main thing is "move it & lose it"!  Always good to communicate with you!  Happy Wednesday!
