head hunger
I know for me when I start having head hunger I need to lower my carbs a bit and that usually takes care of any hunger I have, yes the first day or two it is hard but once you do get them down lower you don't have any hunger at all.
Also, it was recommended to me that when I did have head hunger to get up and walk or do something out of your routine and that normally gets rid of it.

hello, I'm a therapist with the bariatric center, and I just wanted to offer some advice to you about head hunger. I think it's important to be mindful of your feelings at the time you are wanting to eat. If you are not really hungry, then it's often useful to find something to do in order to distract yourself and get your mind off food. If you have any specific hobbies or interests, then they can come in handy during times like these. Even talking to a friend or journaling is helpful.
If you are at work, you may want to practice any relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or stepping away from your desk to get some air and take a walk. Finding a project to busy yourself is also helpful in getting your mind off food. Hope this helps. Good luck! :)
