Hello Fellow KY peeps.
If you have had or are going to have Surgery with Dr.Tom can you give me some feedback. I live almost 2 hours from Georgetown and am worried about after care if an issue comes up. I moved to KY from Indianapolis In January and haven't had the greatest luck with local Dr's.
I am happy with Dr.Tom and his team so far but am curious what the surgery experience is like?
Thanks everyone...

He did not do my surgery but he is who follows me now and I have all the faith in the world in him. I am not two hours from G-town, I am four hours from it and I go see him about once a month for a fill or at least to check in. Don't always need a fill. He is going to do surgery on me soon but it is not bariatric surgery and will be done as an outpatient. I will be by myself and I have no worries what so ever, except when will we get a date set. LOL

Hi Nancy! Welcome to Ky! Congrats on your upcoming surgery!
I too am using Dr Tom at Georgetown and live about 2 hours away as well. Sorry I dont have any advice on the after care, seeing as I am awaiting my surgery. I got a call 2 weeks ago that I was approved and am awaiting my call from Tina for my surgery date.
Good luck and let us know how things go!

I LOVE Dr. Sonnanstine. :) I had my surgery last July & after care has never been an issue. He's available when I need to see him & he will make you a priority if you have a serious problem or emergency!
The best part is that you can always call & if Dr. Sonnanstine isn't in the office (if he's in the OR or something) and talk to Steve or one of the other staff members & they give great advice.
I think the best thing for you to do is to talk about your after care concerns with Dr. Sonnanstine so that he can help relieve your worries. :)
Take care & good luck!

Well...All I can tell you is...you'll be just fine. He did mine in March and I have nothing but great news from month to month...losing weight of course. He's great about answering questions and very great about if you have any questions or concerns after surgery. I Promise...you'll love him and you've got a great guying doing your surgery. I wouldn't change nothing if I had to do over again. Best of luck and keep us updated!!!! Best wishes
