Well gee, Miss Beauty. Its great to live in Providence and be so close to Madisonville. My daughter works in Madisonville.
I see you are way out of surgery. You must be an old hand at this board.
Do you know of any support meetings in this area? Would love to attend one.

Don't blame me. I voted for Sarah......
John, I had my surgery in Mayfield KY. They have support meetings at the Jackson Purchase Hospital the last Tuesday of each Month. It's too far for me to go for meetings so I only went to a few. EVV or Owensboro will probably work best for you are able to get in. Wishing you the best. Kentucky site is good, Lapband site is good also. Maybe a group of us could get togethr some time. Take care,

Tcordon, if this comment is directed toward John, I will respond.
My doctor told me to go on a low carb diet for one week before surgery to shrink my liver to make my surgery easier on him. If it was very large, there would be a good chance to nick it.
NO, no, no, I didn't like that word 'nick', so I went on the Adkins induction diet for 2 weeks. If one week would be good, think of the size of my liver if I went for two weeks.
I have been told, on this diet, the first 10 lbs loss would be water. It has sure slowed down now. I am going to buy a new scale. I think the one I have now is busted. It won't move.
Good to get to know you.

Karen, glad to have someone close by. Do you know of any support groups in Evansville that you don't have to pay to go to? I heard St Marys has one but you have to pay to attend.
So, I count two people in Evansville, one in Providence, and me in Henderson. We could have a party.
I have been e-mailing a lady that is getting close to having the surgery, but not there yet, in Evansville. This makes five.
Any more out there?.......John

I live in Leitchfield about an hour from Owensboro and 1 1/2 hours from Lexington. I too am in my six month supervised diet. I still am undecided about the Lap Band or RNY. I am glad you found some people John. I have found no one very close to me on here. But I have really enjoyed reading everyones posts.
