totally not wls related but i'm very excited
Hey ya'll my daughter went back to school(7th grade) last Weds.(on her 13th b-day what a bummer).
Well she had been placed in general gifted and talented population at Turkeyfoot. She has been specifically placed in the gifted/ talented Literature and Science portion.
Today I got a bizarre phone call from the principal(I thought oh crap what could Mollie have possibly done) well good news good news. She was calling to inform my husband and I that there was a scheduling glitch and Mollie should have also been placed in the gifted and talented program for Math and Social Studies and asked if we would have a problem them bumping her over to those two classes I said yes definitely for Social Studies not so much for Math(she had 2 different math tutors last year and really struggled to maintain and A+ so that she had straight A+ on every report card.
Then the principal said wow you must have been so proud when you got her year end total comprehensive scores I said yeah she did ok. She said Mrs. Burke you do realize that out of almost 400 6th graders Mollie placed third overall. I said what oh my god I feel like a moron those scores were so confusing I totally didn't understand them.
Sorry I know it's not WLS related news but I was so excited I wanted to tell eveyone I knew.
