I'm not sure whether to stick my two cents in or not.  I don't usually post on this board, even though I live in KY.  However, I agree with Wendy.  Each DR is good in their own practice and each does what works for their practice.  I am very glad to have had Dr. Weiss and Dr. Oldham.  I have had friends who went to other surgeons and had lots of problems.  I have been blessed to have had no compliations so far out.  Do I wish that I got to see Dr. Weiss and Dr. Oldham again?  Maybe, but the staff at the office is so good, I can only think of one reason to see them and that is to show them how well I am doing.  I agree that people get very attached to their surgeon, but I feel like the Docs themselves would tell us not to argue, that instead we need to support each other.  Afterall this is a LIFECHANGING event we have all been thru and we if we don't support each other who will?

Amen Julie and Wendy!  As I have said in a previous post, each doctor has their strengths and weaknesses.  Each doctor (regardless if its bariatrics or any other specialty) likes to do things their own way. Lets let them and get over it. Have a good week everyone!

I had a lap-band placement in 2004 which has since deteriorated and I am now trying to get revision to a bypass.  When I went last October to their new office in Lexington to have all the fluid removed, they couldn't even find my records, nor did they have any record of me ever being a patient.  I was seen by a PA, and really wanted to discuss w/someone at that time my desire to have the revision.  Funny though, just last week, almost a year to the date, I received a bill for the visit which was originally supposed to be included in the cost of the surgery.
