Next dumb quest. for the banders
Hey ya'll,
Do you guys ever get boughts of major hiccups. I feel like I have had the hiccups for the last 24 hours. I am sure it is my imagination. My husband thinks it's because I drank a coke which I usually don't do(we don't typically have soft drinks in our house) but they were left over from this ridiculously huge pool party that we had Saturday that carried over to 9:00 Sunday night.
It was a great party way too much food and drinks and leftovers. But it was a good way to end the summer. I am still trying to figure out how we ended up with an orange road safety cone in the bottom of our pool though.
Oh well have a great day everyone

LMAo at the orange cone appearance! I am sure you know carb beverages are a no no because of the carbonation not being able to escape well but we have all slipped a time or two...myself included! I get the hiccups if I drink or eat too much too fast...screwy but happens. Not always though. 24 hrs would be driving me nuts though! I will watch to see any responses on tis one though! I would like to know as well!
Yeah we very rarely have soft drinks at our house and I just happened to drink a can of coke yesterday and I have had hiccups off and on all day since then. If I want something sugary I usually make Kool-Aid.
Yeah the orange cone was an interesting surprise. My dad was over for a swim yesterday and he found it. I missed it since I didn't skim the pool yesterday and we usually don't vaccum it til Weds. Which up here by Cincy it has been raining off and on at a pretty good clip so I probably won't be able to vaccuum it till Sat.
Our party was great though. We are having another one Labor Day weekend.

Sodas make me belch like a frat boy at a kegger but they don't make me hiccup that I can remember. I will admit I have a soda (sometimes two) in the course of a week. My theory is as long as I can belch, the gas won't stay down there anyway. That and the fact that not all docs ban it. It's the same debate with straws, NSAIDs, etc...
Now, bread and dry stuff like that is what makes me hiccup. I'm restricted enough that breads aren't happening anymore though.
Hope the hiccups go away soon! Have you tried any of the old home remedies?
