Vitamins....
i got both of these at rite aid less than ten dollars per bottle...central vite i take two a day and cut them in half..i have no problems swallowing them at all... then i take calcium citrate plus vitamin d 2 tablets two times a day..they are larger and i cut them in half too..after taking the total of four it gives me an addt 1260 mgs of calcium my nut wants me to have 1200 so it is perfect. that is a total of 6 vitamins and it is not bad at all..the calcium bottle is a one mth supply but the multivitamin is enought for 2mths....
Thanks alot for helping me out on here....thats what I love about this site. People that understand what you're going thru and dont' mind to take a minute of their time to help someone out. From my heart to yours....Best of luck in the weigth loss and the ones getting a tool to help them shed the unwanted pounds!
When I first had surgery I used the adult chewable centrum....only to find my surgeon did not require chewables. So, now I take 2 prenatals with iron until the blood work comes back and we will make changes if needed.
I bought OptiScource at Wallgreens too and if you look closely you have to take 4 a day to get all of what you need. They are almost as big as a nickle and two times as thick. They were not for me. I think that they taste worse than the centrum for adults.
Everyone is different, but see what YOUR doc wants. Mine also wants calcium.

Here is an example I bought a 60.00 bottle of protein and could not stand the smell of protein afterwards.....oh, I wasted sooo many items...Special K powder for water, Isopure zeros, ugh...nothing with the smell of protein in it was tollerable.
One suggestion made to me is do not buy too much of any one thing....get samples. I wish I would have done that. Fresh out of surgery I was only able to tollerate the low carb slimfast and then I tried whey fortress at Walmart for 15 bucks and that works well for me. go figure from 60.00 to 15. oh, well.
good luck-

sebrena,
I was just like Sandie I could not stand the protein and had a bit of a time stomaching it so I talked to the nutritionist and she said that I could puree the low fat cottage cheese and eat that because it has 11 grams of protein per 4 oz serving. The other people on here have great suggestions about the different types of protein and ways of getting what you need without having to result to eating protein power. i would ask several of the posters
Thankfully you only have to really worry about the protein until you get to soft foods so it's not to bad. I think you get more bored with the texture of what you have to eat more than anything.

I am like Holli, I take the optisource vitamins, you chew 4 a day they do not taste bad at all to me. they are orangy citrus tasting. right now you can go to this website and get a good deal on them if you buy 2 bottles. they have 20% off and then if you spend $50.00 you get free shipping. I ended up getting 2 bottles for I think it was 51.18 total.
I can tell a big difference in the way I feel when I don't take them, I get run-down and feel like crap. I started taking them again about a little over 2 months ago and feel great again.
