Hi Leslie! i had RNY back in 2003 and for whatever reason, two years ago, I started having pain that was in my upper back after I ate. I had it removed laproscopically and all has been well since. I do know people experience different symptoms, but the gall bladder scan usually tells if your gall bladder is bad. Don't worry if you have to have it taken out, it is a easy surgery...at least it was for me, anyway. Thanks, Pat
Hi Leslie,
I had to have mine out prior to surgery. They found I had stones and I didn't know it. I had mine done at KDMC. Dr. Wheeler is my surgeon and he did it "lapriscopiclly", is that a word? I was in and out the same day and back to work on Monday. Was a piece of cake, of course I was not having attacks like you are. I have had nothing but good experiences at KDMC. Hope it goes well.
