The Tristate Surgical Weight Loss Center/St Elizabeth
Hello Everyone. Looking for info on how they deal with their lap band patients, how they do their fills, etc. I am thinking about transferring to them to do my fills and future care. I was originally with Bluegrass Bariatric but I live in NKY and the drive to Lexington is no longer feasible. Thank you very much for the help and information.

I just had my band surgery on July 6, 09 and won't have my first fill till Aug 11, 09, so I can't help you out with information about the fills. I am very much pleased with the ancillary services that are offered....particularly the nutritional services and the support group. I've found the dieticians to be very helpful and pretty easy to access.
I replied to you previously and have updated info about my experience with TriState Surgical Weight loss ctr. And it's not good. I still absolutely adore the support staff there and the other ancillary services (dieticians, therapists, etc). I went for my 1st band fill on Aug 11, 09. Dr. Brown, who did my surgery, attempted to do my fill but had trouble finding (or something) my port so he wanted to do it in radiology. That's cool....better be safe than sorry. I had an appt that day with the dietician. He told me to go on over to that appt and told his support staff, Phil, to schedule me to be seen in radiology that same day and for me to come back to his office after seeing the dietician to find out when that same day to go to radiology. I did as he said but Phil had forgotten to call radiology to get the appt time and by the time I returned to Dr Brown's office, it was too late for scheduling in radiology. Phil said he'd take care of it the next day and call, but failed to do so till I called him and reminded him. The radiology appt was scheduled today, aug 13, 09 at 6pm. Dr Brown failed to show up for it and when radiology called his office, it was closed for the day. They were able to reach Dr Smith, who was on call for the practice, *****ported that Dr. Brown was in surgery and that I should call to reschedule. So: 2 attempts for a band fill, no band fill as yet, and I'm needed to be sure that the support staff remember to do their job and apparently no one is reminding the doctors to do their job.
