my surgery was thursday 7/23/09 -the surgery was 3 hours longer than expected but all was good after it was over.  on friday i went for my leak/flow test..YAY no leaks ..but even though the contrast did move thru the pouch it would not move thru the intestine..so i had to have addt surgery on friday..that surgery went well. friday night my temp was high and my heart rate too..they were concerned with kidney failure thinking my body had been thru too much trauma in such a short amount of time..i sent out instant healing prayer request...all test come back cleared and i have been on the mend ever since..i have continuted to run a low grade fever..but i believe all is going to be just fine..i finally got to come home yesterday.  since i had went up a day early due to the drive time and the time of my early morning surgery  i couldnt tell i had been there for 6 days but my family did ...bless there hearts..they were SO good to me.  now im just trying to sip sip sip and walk walk walk..it is SOOO hard to drink ..ive not been hungry one time since ive woken up...i am trying to get my fluids in especially with the fever but im not doing so good.  any way i want to thank everyone for their wonderful advise..let me just say tht whoever said dont trust a fart  is so right and the very best things to pack is chapstick and baby wipes saved my life..
looking forward to what the future holds...

Congrats on your surgery but sorry it wasn't a smooth ride.  I'm sure just getting home was the best medicine of all.  I know the water is hard but necessary.  You are smart to walk-that helps a host of problems.  We're here for moral support --use us!!

Welcome to the Loser's bench.  After awhile you'll feel those bottom bones while on this bench.
