Hey guys,

It's been so long since I've been a part of this community and for that, I apologize. I've been having some IRL issues in the last year and a half and each problem consumed me to the point of severe depression. I'm getting back on track now though and looking ahead. I just wanted to let you guys know I've updated my profile and encourage anyone interested to take a peek.


I also wanted to let you guys know I spend a lot of time at myspace and in my profile here; I have put my ID there up.

Hey Dee, it's me Jane.  Just read your update and my heart breaks for you.  Do not consider yourself a failure.  You know your body and if you are not getting the response you want go elswhere.  Dr. Tom who did all our surgeries is now in Georgetown and he is doing the sleeve.  I don't know if that is what you are talking about.  Get other opinions.  My pcp has no idea of how to treat me.  I do all my followup with dr Tom.  He follows my labs which I too am having problems and may be looking at surgery.  They think my bowel is getting a small kink but it fixes it's self, so far.  I too have gained some weight.  I would like to lose and my doctor told me to lose.  I can accept that.  I am working on that.  I don't think its what I eat as much as how much exercise it takes to lose weight.  In the beging I wasn't active at all so just moving burned up so much calories.  Now I am so much healthier and walk so much that it takes a good hour, brisk walk just to get my heart up and break a sweat.  

Anyway my prayers are with you.  Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.  How is Mike?

I don't know if you remember me but I used to post all the time back when the "old" regs. were around. It's great to see you back. How is your hubby doing w/ his loss? I haven't had a chance to read your update yet but will do so after I post this.
I am now officially 3 years out and have gained more weight than I'm even comfortable disclosing lol I would like to add you to myspace if you don't mind.

so sorry for what you are going thru ,I have also put on weight & my Iron is way low I was taking repliva but now I am taking Optisource I get it off line my dr told me about it I dnt even have to take a iron sub for now or even a b12 shot this stuff has it all & is good my hair was falling out bad since I started Opti source it has stopped !! keep in touch I dnt do myspace but will keep my eye out for you here ,maybe we can meet up some where sometime ,keep your head up high & we will make it thru :)

Thank you guys for your support and response! I can't tell you how much it means to me to know, well, I'm not alone. I pray that desn't sound ungrateful or selfish, but yeah I do feel like a failure.

I was diagnosed with fibromylgia and it has been kicking me butt big time! I'm not going to give in and let the weigt take control, thankfully I have enough gumption for that. I just get through each day and watch what I eat.

Jane, thank you for letting me know that Dr. Tom is at G-town.  I was thinking about him when I first started thinking about a revision. Mike and I were going to look into the G-town clinic and UK has now put in a nice weight loss clinic as well. I was also thinking of maybe going out of network and look into a Dr. Husted, I've read really good things about him as well. I will keep my blog updated as things begin to happen for me.

Jolly, I read your pages too and we can conquer this! Have you heard from Gerry? I was thinking about her as well.

Mike called our insurance company to see if they covered revisions and they told us, yes! Now it's just a matter of getting a clinic and Dr. that I feel will work with me and help me get to where I want to be.
