pain
hi everyone, just wanted to ask is there anyone out there who has lost weight without much exercise, i just got banded on july 1 and have lost around 11 lbs so far on mushy foods right now. anyway my doc took away my arthritis meds ( surgeon said i could have them if they were small enough) bu t my doc said no. anyway i just returned back to work and im miserable hurt so bad just walking, taking tylenol and lortabs for pain not helping much. anyone have any suggestions out there?
I have yet to get into an exercise habit, wish I could but - I knew before surgery that I was lazy and even though I've lost nearly 90 lbs I'm still lazy. Anyway did the doc say no to your arthritis pills because of the size of the pill? If that's all it is, I'd be crushing those things and eating the powder. It is not right that you should have to do without your meds. Find out what his reasons are and if he can prescribe anything else. Best wishes.
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

You should contact you doctor. Maybe your arthritis medicine is not safe for you band right now. I would think with the loritab that would help with the pain. How about the YMCA some kind of water work out for Arthritis patients. My mother in law uses the water since her Arthritis is so bad.
Good luck. Have you tried walking later in the day after you have been up. That is what I had to do. Just hang in there, problems seem to find a way of working out. good luck.

no my doc said because it caused bleeding, but it caused bleeding before she never had a problem with it . i dont think she approved of the surgery, but she didnt say anything, but my surgeon said i could have them. if they were small enough. but i think she should have said i dont want you to take the pills but ill see what else we could do but she didnt and i feel like it her way of saying you shouldnt have had it done. so im thinking about going to another doc.thanks for your imput tammy
