"THAT" Surgery

A friend came in work the other day and was behind a lady checking out, my friend says if you get any smaller I'll be able to see through you.

The lady looked up that was checking out and ask Did you have 'THAT" Surgery. I was like Why yes I did. I had gastric bypass back in October and I have lost 123 pounds. She was like wow.

So yes I had THAT Surgery and I'm proud of it.


A couple weeks ago I was over at hubbys step moms and her son comes in runs up beside me and picks me up. He was like Oh my God Holli you are getting so small ! And you are losing your boobies. He just turned 17 I think. I was like thanks for noticing. LOL

Its amazing how rude people are about WLS anytime it comes up and people find out I had a procedure done they ask did you have THAT surgery? I had Lapband but good luck explaining that to anyone you can go through the whole explanation and they still tell people you had THAT surgery, LOL no matter what procedure you had its always THAT surgery like its a dirty word because you cheated and got help instead of dieting. Oh well such is life and insensitive people! Good for you for being proud you should be! I'm always honest I figure I did it so I need to own it with confidence.

Yep that's right I cheated. I have a couple of awesome scars on my stomach that will never go away. Sometimes when I eat I puke my brains out(because I forget to eat normal instead of inhaling). My hair is a little thinner. Every month I spend $500 or more dollars on new clothes and sometimes shoes because I am running out of fat clothes that used to fit. Oh and the hot and sexy loose skin and (lucky for me)slightly saggy boobs.
But yes I cheated.
Yeah I might have cheated an earlier death, I might have shaved off a couple of years between now and what I am assuming to be eventual cardiac bypass surgery oh and did I forget to mention I cheated by possibly cutting the risk of me getting diabetes.
Yep I cheated.
People who haven't been through this can be so rude and stupid so yes I cheated by having THAT surgery. I am pretty glad to say I would happily cheat again .

I know I'm several days late but just have to agree with everybody else.  Very well said Wendy.  Some people just don't get it.

 Ya'll are so much nicer than I would ever be.  My first response would be "Excuse me but I don't believe your rude ass was invited or included in this conversation" and second would be "Unless I rolled over this morning and kissed you good morning, it is so none of you f*%#ing business." It never ceases to amaze me how freaking rude and intrusive people can be!!!!  One thing I have SO learned over the last 12 years is screw what people think and and double that if they are strangers.  Total strangers were so hateful to me when I was a big woman and I will be damned if I will allow them to be now that I am smaller.  Like I said when I wake up next to you or you are helping pay my mortgage then you can have an opinion. Until then shut the hell up. (Okay, I am through now)
