Baptist East Bariatric Center? Dink, Oldham, and Weiss?
Vickie, Dr. Weiss did my surgery, I was very pleased with the surgery but I later had problems and it took me seven months to convince the PA that something was wrong. My port needed replacing it had been puctured on Dec. 9th and it took me until June to convice them that I was not holding fluid and all they would have had to done was measure it and figure that out. Then I had a stitch left in by Steve, he cut it but didn't removed it and I had an abcess from this. I wasted a lot of time, money and effort on them and although I think they are good doctors, actually excellent surgeons, I can't recommend them because of their aftercare.

Don't forget to look into the Duodenal Switch before you decide on surgeries. You might have to go further to get it but the lifestyle is so good. Just check it out at:

I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

even Medicare covers it, so if your insurance covers weight loss surgery it covers the DS

I had lap band surgery preformed by Dr. Oldham on April 10Th, 2009. I have been very pleased with the whole experience. I felt that I was in great hands. Dr. Oldham was very kind and answered all of my questions. Before I went into surgery I started to cry because I was so nervous. Dr. Oldham stayed with me and talked me through it. After care is great. I love my NP Lori. She is wonderful, she always answers all of my questions. I feel that she is very capable of doing her job. I would highly recommend Dr. Oldham. Oh! I had my surgery at Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Ky. If you need anymore info just PM.
I really think the world of Lori as a person but she is the ARNP that punctured my tubing. Yelp, I knew when it happened and she wanted to order and upper GI on me to see if I had a leak. An upper GI will not show a leak and thank God I knew it wouldn't and didn't waste my money on it and called the Lexington office and got it canceled, they agreed it should have never been ordered. Oh and I wouldn't use an ARH facility if my life depended on it, I use to work for them.

Vickie, I just re-read all the posts here because, well I liked Dr. Weiss until the last surgery but did not like the aftercare and I really hate to slam him as a doctor.
I noticed two things, you asked how much their program fee is, well it is $500 and you do not get it back from insurance and it goes directly in the surgeons pocket, so I have been told. I use to think it paid for the aftercare but learned that is not true. Also, I only think they are doing the RNY at Georgetown right now and as soon as CBH is set up to do them they are going to start them there. I doubt that they will ever do the RNY else where because of the post op care involved. I know they don't do it in Lousiville, Mayville or Hazard for sure.
I agree with the last poster you should check into Dr. Sonnanstine, he is awesome and he follows his patients himself.
