Can you all help me?
OK ...I'm waiting on them to call me back and see if I'm approve for Lap Band. So pray that I get it lol. I was thinking the other day about the liquid diet. Can someone tell me what all you used for the 2 week liquid diet? I'm wanting to write it down and get prepared for just incase that I do get it. I know its too soon, but I rather have a list prepared that way when it comes time...I can just up and go get it.. I'm soooo excited I can't help myself lol. Well hope the best of luck to the ones that have had the surgery and hope all goes well to the ones getting ready to have surgery. I'll be thinking of you all!
My favorite protein drinks are the Syntrax Nectars (except for the Carribbean Cooler - yuck!). I like the Fuzzy Naval and the Strawberry Kiwi. I haven't tried the other flavors yet.
Be careful about buying much of any kind. After surgery your tastes DO change. Before surgery, I loved the Chike powders and was sure I would still like them after - WRONG! I have $120 of Chike powders sitting on my counter that I am just going to pass on to my body building son. I cant stand them...
You will also be amazed at how good plain chicken broth tastes. It's amazing and a nice diversion from all the sweet things. Jello puddings (no sugar) are great, too as are the Jello jello cups. Most tomato soups have too much sugar, but the cream soups are good. I mixed cream of chicken with cream of onion and chicken broth. I t was very good. Jus****ch out for the chunks of meat or veggies.
Good luck to you! I hope this helps a little.

Wow! Thanks alot for the responde...I'm writing all this down. Never know til you try it right. Never thought about the taste changing after surgery. I guess what I'll do is go ahead and write down as many things that I can have and try them now and after surgery...The cream of chicken with cream of onion and chicken broth sounds actually kinda yummy to me. Thanks for helping out. Best of luck to you!
I didn't have to do the 2 wk liquid pre op I did high protein low carb. I am on the post op liquid now drinking protein shakes, broth, jello, sf Popsicles, crystal ligh****er. I have now moved on to adding sf jello pudding. I guess every surgeon is different as far as preop diet.Oh yeah I can only tolerate EAS chocolate cream protein shake you will just have to find one you like.
