1 week post-op... ugh
I had Lap RNY 1 week ago and I can not keep anything down!!! I'm not talking about full liquids or anything strange... we're talking water and sf popsicles! I'm soo tired. The most fluids I have gotten down in a day is 20 ounces.
So anyways... I have to go to the ER and get IV fluids and have an upper GI. I'm really, really not looking forward to having another IV or drinking that gunk for the upper GI, but hopefully I will feel better after getting hydrated.
I finally broke down and cried today. The mental, emotinal, and physical exhaustion just caught up with me. I freaked my family out, but I felt a little better afterwards.
Thanks for "listening"... heh

Oh, Jennifer, I hate that you are having such a terrible time. I'm not surprised that you're getting the IV with fluids. I bet that will make you feel better. As far as the upper GI goes, it will help the doctor see if there's anything anatomical causing you to be unable to keep stuff down. I know that's little consolation for having to undergo something like that, but maybe it will give you the answers you need.
It's okay to cry about this. I am surprised you weren't crying sooner--I would have been! You are a very strong person and you will get through this.
Know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. If you need to talk to someone, I am here for you.
{{{{{Hugs}}}}} to you, my RNY sister!
