Medicare and RNY REVISION SURGERY

DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF MEDICARE PAYS FOR REVISION SURGERY AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR YOUR FEE?  DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF DR. HUSTED'S CUMBERLAND HOSPTIAL HAS RECEIVED THE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE CERTIFICATION YET??? DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF ANYBODY WHO HAD AN ENLARGED STOMA AND HAD A LAPBAND PUT OVER THE STOMA?

I do not know anyone personally who has had a lapband put over their stoma but have heard of this suggestion multiple times.  Honestly, I think it is the suggestion of a doctor with limited options.  I believe it is in your best interest to see an experienced revision surgeon like Dr. Husted before you decide on doing ANYTHING at all.  Remember revisions are risky.  I know Dr. Husteds operation seems to be in full swing now and patients are coming and going quickly, call his office and speak with his nurse about your insurance needs, they are professionals and can answer your questions.

Go to the OH revision board and make this post to see what their opinions are.  If you are interested in the DS please come to the DS board and there will be many people there who have had similar options thrown at them by doctors who don't have the surgical experience to give them successful revisions.    Again, please, please, please see a respected, experienced revision surgeon and come to the DS board to talk to others there who have had similar experience.  You are not alone.
