Dr. Jeff Allen gone?????

Has anyone heard anything about Dr. Jeff Allen leaving University Surgical Associates?? My husband just got approved by our insurance to have his surgery and called Dr. Allen's office to ask a couple questions. He was told that Dr. Allen left the practice! I am a patient of his as well, and we have received no sort of notice or anything. Now we aren't sure what to do.

Does anyone know any details on this? We are NOT happy!

I was at USA today to see my doctor and I saw the sign in the elevator.  I didn't ask about it since I was already leaving BUT....the sign said his office would be in the Children's Foundation Building Suite 200, so he will still be in the same building and on the same floor. 

Maybe someone else has more info but thought I'd pass that along...

Per a text with Lee Ann just now who is an Allen patient:

He is now employed by Norton's and is in suite 200.

She has an appointment there on Thursday and might be able to tell us more then.

1-502+899-6405 and he is in suite 200 in the same bldg and on the same floor as USA!!!!  Nothing changed except he is now emplyed by Norton's and has his own office!  And yes still doing bariatrics!

Thanks guys. We were more than a little concerned about it!

Ok...when you go see him he will probably be moved over to Suburban. Yes...his new office will be there from now on so try to sched it on the fourth Thurs and you could hit support that evening too! His office next to USA is temporary....his staff is new but they are not sure if they will be permenantly with him or not yet. None of them looked familiar at all and were very nice! What a switch! You will need to fill out a butt load of new paperwork when ya go whi*****ludes a release from USA for your records! That is why Allen and Norton's requires new paperwork. He had a young guy who just transferred from New York to shadow Allen. Super nice fella....great personality. Dr Allen drew out all my fluids and added one cc so I now am at 9.0 officially and my weight was up to 309.2.....That sucked! I told him about all the issues and he wants me back in two weeks for a ck up.
