Plans for the Fourth anyone?

So...what's everyone up to this holiday weekend? We are attending the 179th celebration of the fourth of July in Pekin Indiana this year...as we do every year! Its a very small town but the fireworks display would give the big cities a run for their money!   Fireworks are tonight at 10 if ya wanna drive up and join us!  As Dannyell said..".only in Indiana do they celebrate with fireworks on friday the 3rd of July" ......lol
 

Hey Lee Ann,  I used to drive to Salem about 3 times a week to go to GKN.  I saw that sign in Pekin and wondered what the story was.  I have to say that I don't miss the drive.  It is beautiful, but that road can be scary.  Hope you all have a good 4th.  I am going to workout at the YMCA in NA.  This is my favorite workout.  Over two hours of sweat, maybe I will lose something next week. 

I am working a 12 hour shift today  :(
Having a cook-out with a few friends after work tomorrow.
Then up early Sunday morning and heading to Myrtle Beach!!!!!
I am meeting my parents, and brother and his family.   Donovan and I will hopefully get there by 5pm!   This is the first time I have had a vacation with my immediate family since I was 15 years old!
I am so excited.
Donovan plans on fishing a lot and chasing girls, and I hope to get lots of son and play in the sand with my little nephew  :)  However, Donovan has decided that William, my nephew, is a chick magnet, so he may want to do a little babysitting himself!  LOL

I have never heard of Pekin is it near you?
She is right we have ours in Aurora on whatever day the first Saturday of July is......
We are going to a family cookout and then to Belterra to watch the fireworks it is nothin big but when you are with friends and family all is good.
We have some cleaning to do today and Neil is canning a bushel of peaches ...

Tonight the Louisville Orchestra is coming to Glasgow and they shut down the square and food vendors set up.  You sit on the courthouse lawn either in chairs or on blankets and the orchestra is in the middle of the street playing.  It's really neat to see but I'm not going as I have seen it several times. 

On the fourth, our tradition for years is to sit a lawn chair outside and watch all the neighbors fireworks.  I love doing this.  It's very relaxing.

We are going to Angie's for a 4th picnic if it dont get rained out our family and tonys family together should be a wonderful mix   OMG say a pray for me

I was invited to a friends for the 4th but hubby wants to stay put so we will. I think it will be nice to relax. The menu is chicken pasta for them and something light for me... Like the soup.
