Ok...I am not trying to sound like a smart ass but it will come off that way I am sure. DO NOT BEND OVER!!!!!!  It pulls the skin, stitches that are internal and muscles and is what is causing the pain. Try to get someone else to get  whatever it is you need or put it where you can for your healing time to avoid these movements. They stitch that port into your muscle and I think that doing all the physical stuff too soon may be why my stitches did not hold. I basically tore them out of the muscle. So I tell ya this from experience hun.....you do not want to have another surgery to fix it! As for the pain part...try the perscriptions they gave ya. The third day will be your worst so plan ahead. Have tylenol or whatever they advised you to take handy. Keep your movements minimal...walking is usually okay. And as always...call your DR...they are they for you!

Hey Tammy, I was banded on the 15th and my pain lasted about 4 days. I found walking was my best friend during this time. I tried not to do anything that required me to bend over I know how you feel. take the meds prescribed and you should have some relief. I was well enough and went back to work after 5 days so I know you will feel better in a few days. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress. p.s, I;m also from Pikeville and same name. Tammy_m
