I am at a loss for what is going on with this body of mine.
Back in May I started taking karate classes again(I've been in and out for the last 20 years) I'm going 3 times a week. Here is my problem at my last appointment(6-12-09) w/Dr. Tom I gained like 8 pounds. I have been working my not so fat anymore *ss off  and trying to watch what I'm eating(which has been a nightmare we just moved into a new house a little over a week ago) and going to karate 3 days a week however I got on the scale last night and I have not lost anything. But this is the thing that is baffling me at the beginning of the summer I was wearing a normal 16(that's way down from a 22 last summer) now I am having to wear a belt or if they are elastic waists I have to roll them down. I tried on  two pair of 14's(2 different brands) yesterday and they fit perfect.
My husband (ever the very very supportive man) keeps re-assuring me that muscle weighs more than fat and that I am toning old and building new and it's ok that the number on the scale is not moving. I think he is just trying to be nice and build my confidence.
What do you guys think?

I think your husband is right!  Muscle does weigh more than fat and it also burns calories even when you aren't using the muscle, so keep up the great work!  I would MUCH rather be in a size 14 and no weight loss than a 16 with no weight loss.
