Hi I am new to this board. I have been awarded a surgery date of 8-11-09. I have chosen the gastric bypass. I am looking for an outlet to ask questions, learn more and find friends. I live in Russellville and am looking for people close by.

I live in Williamsburg.. not necessarily close by, but had RNY on 10-13-08 and will be happy to answer any questions or help support you in any way.  Where exactly is Russellville?  I will be travelling around KY quite a bit and might be able to get together with you sometime...

i live close to Bowling Green. Russellville is a very small town about 30 miles south of BG. I don't know what kind of questions to ask. I have read and read and feel i know what i am in for. Any inside information would be great!!

Not close to you............that I know of!  I'm a VA native so don't know the geographical layout of KY!  lol

Hi Kim!   I am in Danville.   I don't know if that's close or not, but I had surgery on June 8.  Still recovering....   Let me know if I can help, too!   Welcome!

I live in Cumberland KY and I know I am not close to you, and had lapband not RNY but wanted to welcome you to the group.  I am new to the KY boards pretty much so anyway, but not to OH.

hi kim.  my surgery date is 7-23-2009 and i live in allensville.  so we are only about 20 miles from each other.  i'm glad to find someone so close to me who is going going through the same thing.  i have found this site to be so helpful and the people hear are really nice.  ive learned so much just by reading their post and anytime i have  had a question several people help me.
