No Vena Cava Filter Needed!!!!
I visited Dr. Wickel yesterday, the vascular surgeon. He says I am in the 'low rise' category for a blood clot. My BMI is less than 55 and I've never had a blood clot even with all the abdominal surgeries I have had. I've never had a blood clot or thrombosis in my leg. He said he would put a temporary filter in if I felt that I needed it, but I told him if he felt I didn't need it, I am sure I will be okay. He has approved me for surgery and is going to send Dr. Shina a note about the filter!!!
With the B-12 shots and the sublingual I am taking, the hematologist visit on Friday should be good to go! I see Dr. Shina on the 21st of July and preop's are on the 23rd of July. Then all I have to do is wait for the 21st of August and my new life begins! I never thought life would start over at 61!
