Hi, I am thinking about switching doctors and would like to know if your doctor is easy to talk to and asks you questions like how you are doing.  Is he flexible on the amount of fill and how often you can have a fill?  Is the office staff friendly?  I've had two fills already.  I am looking to stay with Norton's.  Thanks.

Don't go to BBSA you don't even see a doctor there plus they charge you a $500 program fee.  I am fixing to switch doctors myself, or I think I am.  :)

Hi Dana,
I had lap rny not the band but I had my surgery with Dr. Sonnanstine at Georgetown Community.  He is an absolute wonderful surgeon.  He does ask how you feel and what is going on with you.  He truly cares about his patients and his followup program is wonderful....you see HIM not a nurse or anyone else.  He wants to see the progress of his patients and he is very involved.  He is also one of your biggest supporters and source of encouragement.  He does not criticize or place blame etc if you don't do as well as maybe he thought you should.  But he will do what he can to get you back on the right track.  I don't know where Georgetown is in relation to where you live but you may want to research him.  And the hospital and staff are wonderful.  They are very understanding, encouraging, and helpful as well.  Its a very good combination.  And I know he always welcomes new patients.  He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met.  Anyway good luck with whatever you decide and where ever you end up.....best to you....

Ditto about Dr. Sonnanstine at Georgetown!   There aren't many like him out there.   I've seen bunches of Docs over the years and he is right at the top.

I'm going to DITTO again on Dr. Sonnanstine. He is AMAZING.

I had my surgery done with him at St. Luke in Northern KY, and now drive the 1+hour to see him. I had complications after surgery (nothing that was his fault!) and I saw him personally every time I needed to come in (which was sometimes 3 times/week.) He even called me on the weekend to see how I was doing.
