Approved in less than 2 days!
My surgeon's office said they submitted the information to my insurance company on Wednesday afternoon. I figured it would at least take a week.
This morning, I get a call from a cardiologist, confirming my appointment for early next week. Knowing that I did not make the appointment, I was caught off guard. I assumed it was because my surgery had been approved...but no one from my surgeon's office had called me to confirm. So I get the appointment date and time and the address of the cardiologist and then I call my surgeon's office. Sure enough, I was approved by my insurance company!!!!!!
I am a little concerned that I heard first from the cardiologist and not my surgeon, but that is a separate issue for another day. I should know by the end of the day when the surgery will be scheduled. I am praying for the week of July 13th. My son will be in WI with my parents until early August and I have a friend who is able to come down here and take care of me for two weeks, but if it's any later than the week of the 13th, she may only be able to come for a few days. If you all don't mind, please say a little prayer that it can be scheduled for the week of the 13th.
I will let you all know as soon as I find out!
P/S: I think I am still in shock and cannot believe this is actually going to happen!

My experience was like yours...I was told that I needed to be ready to file again because I would not be approved. I explained I would she said NO, get ready for appeal. Well, I had specifically talked to the approval lady at the company and she said I would be- but I do not know if the office knew that (well, remembered). It turned out not only was it approved, but in less then 2 days too.
