Hey all, sorry I have been away and not posting.  You may or may not know I just became grandma to twins last tues...my mother is not doing well with her cancer.  We will know more by Thurs, she is taking radiation for the terrible pain of the mass in her leg..this is daily so I am keeping pretty busy,  I was just ask to go full time at my job ( I had wanted it but hoped to have the summer off with mom and the babies)  but I could not turn the offer down, so I am training on the new postion, also the new breast center will open August 10th..we are going crazy trying to get ready for that.

I just wanted to congrats everyone who has been doing such an awesome job with exercise and compliance..those struggling, just hang in there, we all go through it.
those further out..please be a buddy for those newbies..
those about to have surgery..GOOD LUCK!!!!!
If there is anything I can do to help ..just let me know..

I don't get down there so often, but I do make phone calls.  Let Dr. Sonnanstine know that day you would like to talk to me, he will send me a message or call to let me know how you are doing (with your ok) and if it's ok to call you...I will send you a reminder before you go in.
and if you want I can post how you are doing on here for you.

You are gonna do great!!!

when things get worked out with family and the new job, I hope to make a get together or we will have one in the Lexington area.  that would be awesome!!!

If and when I do the next one I will need all the help I can get..and I love getting patients involved.
we will talk about it probably more seriously in the fall., maybe for next spring.

but in the mean time we should put together a dinner or luncheon somewhere..sounds like all the Louisville folks are having a blast!!!!

To all you Ohio girls - lived in Franklin, Amelia, Middletown, Trenton, Dayton, Beavercreek, Morrow, Lebanon, and a few other small towns in and around Cincinnati, Ohio.  I was born in Cambridge Ohio and moved with faimily to Dayton in the 1960's.

I moved down to the Louisville area when a job opened up in 2002 and I met my husband on the internet.  He worked in Louisville and lived in New Albany, had for over 50 years.  I have friends in Cincinnati, Springfield, Columbus, Akron and family in Kettering and Lebanon Ohio.  To say I miss everyone up there is an understandment.  But I have made some from lovely friends here in the Louisville area and it looks as though this is where I will be for quite a while. (7 years now)  I work full time in Louisville.  I am truly looking forward to the surgery in August.  Yes, I am scared at times and wondering if I'm nuts, but there are other times that I know it will work and I will use the tool to become the thin person that lives inside of me.  People say it is work to lose the weight using the tool, but think of how much work we've done in the past without the tool and had our ups and downs with that?  I think the 'work' part is just part of the process of losing and maintaining the weight loss with a little bit of help from the tool - the pouch.  I feel that if you respect the pouch and take care of the pouch, it will in turn take care of you.  I admire all of you who have gone through the surgery and are working to become a better part of who you already are and I do the snoopy dance everytime I hear of another success or see another success!  What a gift we've been given and what a gift I have yet to face!  Good Luck to those about to have the surgery!  The surgery is only the beginning of the rest of your life!

Hello to all of you there in Ohio!  We are all in this together!

Just a quick update.  Mom and I saw her Oncologist yesterday, he gave us very sad news.  My mothers cancer has spread through out her body.  She has several areas.  This is going to be a very long difficult road.  Thank  you all for your well wishes and concern.
