Can anyone tell me about the overnight stay at Georgetown? My husband will be going with me. Are you in a room by yourself? or is it more like a semi-private room? anything special I need to take with me? any info will be appreciated. Monday is the big day!!!

I wasn't at G. town I had mine at St. Luke when he was still practicing up here. As weird as it may sound a life saver for me besides the things other people have told you were ear plugs(Walmart hunting and camping supply section) because it is in my experience(I swear it happens every time) that just as soon as you drift off to sleep your IV pump will start ringing or if you are hooked up to the heart monitor you turn the wrong way and it will beep and beep and beep. Also I truly found that it was easier to arrive in my pajamas and go back home in my pajamas that way you can slip into bed or onto the couch with out a lot of fuss. Also if you have longer hair bring a scrunchy there's nothing like being nauseous(possibly) and fighting with a puke pan and long hair.

I am very excited for you good luck and you will be in my thoughts

Georgetown has private rooms and your husband will be more than welcome to stay in the room with you.  They have larger comfy chairs that kind of lay out like an easy chair.  They told me my husband was more than welcome to stay the night.  CHAPSTICK is a total must!  Your lips especially the first day will be very dry.  I took my own comfy jammies but I had rny on Wed. and did not go home until Sat.   Good luck to you......
