the sweetest words in the world...I HAVE A DATE!!!

i received my call today and my surgery is set for july 27. i have been trying to have this surgery for 9 years.  i am so excited.  i have been reading everyones post for several months now and occassionally comment and ask questions and you have all been wonderful.  i look forward to getting to know you all better.

summer is a slow time on our board and many have gone to facebook, but I know when they get here again they will all say this too!  I did not see what surgery you were having.

I am very happy for you. I remember that feeling like it was yesterday....it has not been that long for me. I had to wait for over a year and it felt like 9 years so I cannot even begin to imagine how much happy dancin' you are doing now!!!

thanks so much..im having the lapRNY too.  i told my husband tht we have to change sides of the bed so i can get used to sleeping on the other side.lol  ..ive read how the left side is really sore. i would appreciate any and all advise

You're right about the left side - I slept on my back or on my right side the first 3 weeks because of that.  My drain was on that side too, so it was the side I pampered.
