does anyone fear getting sick and....
maybe not eat as much as they might.
I am a bit worried that my doc is going to give me an earful for not eating enough. I start eating and really do not want to get sick so I stop at any little sign from my body with solids. I can eat the correct amount of soup or yogurt, but meat....uh, NO WAY! I then forget and don 't eat a bit more an hour later or so.
I think I might start charting my stuff on the daily plate- I know the most calories are coming from the drinks and I have not too much of a clue on the real food. It cannot be much.
Well, thanks for any input

Once I got more than 3 weeks out and had barfed (painless then) I wasn't as worried about it. It isn't pleasant to be sick to my stomach for hours like that - usually when I do eat the wrong thing it takes 4 or 5 hours before I actually expell the junk. I've never made myself vomit - it just seems wrong! But I was actually thankful the times I was able to lose the awful stuff. Earlier on I was really fearful of ripping out staples or stitches or whatever, but later down the road I was just prepared for whatever happened as I tried new foods, etc.
I charted on the daily plate for several weeks and found it to be really helpful in counting up those protein grams especially. I need to start back doing that. It seemed like it took a long time, but in reality I am spending WAY more time playing Bejeweled Blast on Facebook than I ever spent logging food and I need to get my priorities straight. I'm glad you posted this thread - it is a reminder to me to get with it on writing stuff down again.
If you're really having trouble getting the protein down in meats and foods, you probably should drink more than one protein drink a day - or have you tried those Pure Protein bars from Walmart? They're 20 grams of protein just like Unjury powder. They TASTE better than protein drinks though. Also, I've found beef jerky sticks (chew em like chewing gum - forever) which are 10 grams or protein per stick and soy nuts, etc. Sunflower seeds... hmm, what else do I do for protein. Oh - I like those WW and Lean Cuisine baked fish meals - a lot of them have about 20 grams of protein or at least the high teens. I don't usually eat the side dishes because the fish fills me up.
I used to like looking at what some of the Ky members posted for their daily plate foods. It gave me ideas on some variety because it sure does get boring doing the same thing all the time. I'll try to get started on that again and maybe WE can start posting that too.
I think there are a bunch of gals from this board who are car pooling to Chicago for the OH convention - I am a little jealous! But glad they're going to get to go - I hope they find out a lot of stuff and share info with us when they return!
